Mission Statement:
The Office of Operations is responsible for providing procurement and facilities management services. Procurement services are administered on a Department-wide basis; however, facilities management services and operations are administered for all activities in and around the Washington Metropolitan Area and USDA Headquarters. The mission areas within the office are the Landover Service Center, Washington Area Service Center, Strategic Space Plan Implementation Office, Procurement Operations Division, Mail and Reproduction Management Division, and the Accessible Technology Program, which includes the TARGET Center for accessible technologies and reasonable accommodations for employees with disabilities. Additionally, the Office of Operations, via the Director's office, provides interpreter services for the hearing-impaired, and medical services, i.e., the health unit, via the Washington Area Service Center. All Office of Operations services are coordinated across functional lines.
