Don't be late! Automate! Your postage rate!
USDA, in cooperation with the Baltimore Cooperative Administrative Support Unit (the Baltimore CASU) offers a presort mail contract that allows for postal savings through postal-automation programs.
Obtain the lowest postage rate possible by commingling your mail with other federal, state and local mailers.
All federal, state or local agencies in the Washington, DC and Baltimore Metropolitan Area may use this service.

Use of Proper Address Expedites Delivery!
A
recent survey of incoming postal mail revealed that only 20 percent of our
correspondents are properly addressing mail to USDA.

An automated sorting system was installed in the Central Mail Unit in March 1997. This equipment expedites the sorting of properly addressed mail. Mail that can be read by the machine, those pieces containing STOP Codes, are processed first.
