Campus and South Building Modernization
USDA has undertaken two major projects -- construction of a USDA campus in Beltsville, Maryland and modernization of the USDA South Building (part of the "DC complex" at 14th and Independence SW) in metropolitan Washington, DC. When both Beltsville and the South Building modernization are complete, USDA's offices in the Washington area should be housed in two safe, modern, government-owned facilities that are consistent with USDA's mission, policies, and streamlining goals.
